Six Weeks To Fitness

In this episode of our Six Weeks to Fitness podcast, I will be joined by Adam Davenport, a Yale educated, award winning, actor, writer and director.  Adam  recently completed filming the part of Hercules in the Independent production “Project Olympus”, a feature length rock musical.  There were about 500 other actors auditioning for the role of Hercules.

During the interview, Adam will take us on his amazing journey growing up in the south suburbs of Chicago, where he read a book every day and lived a sort of introverted, nerdy lifestyle (in Adam’s words), with very little physical activity, to becoming a film major at Yale University and being the recipient of the Panavision New Filmmaker Awards.  Adam will also discuss his many role models growing up, such as Toni Morrison, Halle Berry, Steven Spielberg, Denzel Washington, Alfre Woodard, Laurence Fishburn, George Lucas and others, some of whom he has collaborated with in his young career.  Adam lives a healthy lifestyle which consists of exercising 5 to 6 days a week, eating small healthy meals throughout the day and does not drink alcohol because of the negative effects alcohol consumption has on the body.  He is living proof that if you take care of your body, your body will take care of you.

Adam will also provide action steps that he believes anyone can take in order to be successful and why he believes that visualization is important when it comes to accomplishing your goals.  This was an inspiring and informative interview from a truly remarkable and committed rising star.

In Episode #75 of our Six Weeks to Fitness podcast, I will be joined by Scotty Dickert, film/tv actor and musician.  During the interview, Scotty will take us on a journey of what life was like growing up in Wisconsin, attending college on a Tennis scholarship and pursuing his dreams to become an accomplished actor and musician.  This Summer, Scotty stars in XOXO for Netflix, the highly anticipated Electronic Dance Music (EDM) project co-starring Sarah Hyland (Modern Family), Graham Phillips (The Good Wife) and Chris D’Elia (Undateable). Set amidst the biggest EDM festival in America, XOXO, the film follows six strangers whose lives collide in one frenetic, dream-chasing, hopelessly romantic night.

Scotty will also share his keys to success and the importance of family. Scotty Dickert may be a rising star in Hollywood but he still exercises in the gym 5 to 6 days a week to help him stay focused and keep up with the demands of his Hollywood lifestyle.  Scotty Dickert is living in the moment and enjoying the journey along the way.  This is a very inspiring interview.
