Cardiovascular disease is a major health concern for everyone, especially women, causing ten times more fatalities than breast cancer. As a matter of fact, heart attacks occur more often in women than men.

Cardiovascular disease is often underestimated as it appears later in women than in men. Women usually discover their own risk while seeking health information for their spouses at medical events, making it a life-saving revelation. Dr. Ford Brewer is a board-certified preventive & occupational medicine specialist and a globally recognized speaker for organizations including the National Governor's Association and the Brookings Institute. Dr. Brewer is also the Founder of PrevMed Heart Attack & Stroke Prevention (www.premedhealth.com). PrevMed Health is a national preventive medicine practice focusing on preventing and treating chronic diseases, particularly heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and obesity. Dr. Brewer has devoted the majority of his career to the prevention of chronic disease, with some amazing results. Prior to Premed Health, he was the Director of preventive medicine programs at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University. During this very informative interview, Dr. Brewer will share why he chose prevention as opposed to surgery, and how his methods of prevention can extend decades to your life beyond your 50s, 60s or 70s.

In addition, Dr. Brewer will share information about his upcoming event, “PrevMed Health's Heart Attack and Stroke Prevention Conference, scheduled to take place on December 1-2 in Tampa, Florida. The conference will address the critical issue of preventive medicine and the leading causes of death and hospitalizations in America. This transformative seminar is much more than a traditional event, offering individualized advanced testing to identify risk for heart disease, strokes, and dementia, among other cardiovascular diseases.

Did you know that your tongue may be the strongest muscle in your body? The tongue has 16 muscles and never stops moving even while you sleep. If you’re like most people, you were not aware of this fact nor were you aware that proper positioning of the tongue in the roof of your mouth and nasal breathing can improve circulatory and respiratory issues such as asthma and COPD as well as fibromyalgia, ADHD, migraines and so much more.

Are you suffering from Brain fog, dry mouth, anxiety, asthma, fatigue, high blood pressure, insomnia, snoring, ADHD or sleep apnea? Did you know that most adults  are not breathing correctly, and by changing the way we breathe we can reverse most if not all of these illnesses? Most of us are mouth breathers and it is mouth breathing that is the cause of many respiratory diseases.

In this interview, Karese Laguerre, will show us how to breathe properly so we can sleep better, and become more productive. Karese Laguerre is a registered dental hygienist, Author, Speaker, Myofunctional therapist, and founder and owner of the Myospot. Her latest published book, Accomplish, delves into how to sleep better, eliminate burnout and execute goals. Karese’s mission is to transform and positively impact as many households as possible through dynamic breath, brain and body work.

I found this to be one of my most life changing interviews to date. If you or any of your loved ones suffer from any respiratory or cardiovascular issues, then you must watch this interview. It can change the trajectory of your life.

Karese has a private practice in Florda and will provide free online consultations. To learn more about Karese Laquerre, visit www.themyospot.com. You can also order her book, Accomplished on Amazon.

Karese, like many parents, suffered in silence while her children struggled with the symptoms of undiagnosed sleep and breathing issues. One visit to a pediatric dentist changed the trajectory of their lives. Already a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH), Karese, trained with Sandra Holtzman, Lois Laynee and Sarah Hornsby to establish her orofacial myology knowledge. With this initial training and numerous others, in a few short years she has not only resolved all her children's issues, but helped hundreds of patients, children and adults alike, discover how great life can be functioning on full. Her private practice, The Myo Spot is now a leader in the quest for myofunctional therapy awareness and public education.

How would you like to lose 10 pounds in 30 days without dieting? Do you even think it’s possible to lose weight without dieting? Not only is it possible, I’ve done it and so have countless others. In this video, I share my 4 tips on how you can lose 10 pounds in 30 days without even going on a diet. For many of us, losing one or two pounds would greatly improve our health, but what about 5, 10 or 15 pounds, wouldn’t that increase our quality of life even more? Yes, it would.

As the host of my Six Weeks to Fitness podcast, I usually interview fitness and nutrition experts, doctors, athletes and celebrities to discuss the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. In this video, I am flying solo to share some of my personal knowledge and expertise in the area of weight loss.

For the past 30 years, I have trained and worked with hundreds of men and women through my Six Weeks to Fitness programs, so I know what works and what doesn’t. Remember, I’m not talking about crash dieting here, there are no “eat this not that” recommendations, just some common sense, yet, scientifically proven methods that will help you lose, release, drop (however you want to put it) at least 10 pounds in 30 days, and you get to keep it off, if you so choose.

Since the 2020 pandemic, the waistlines of average Americans have increased due to inactivity, stress and yes, poor eating habits. Fast forward to where we are today, in 2023, diabetes rates along with heart disease, dementia, cancer and other chronic diseases are increasing exponentially. These illnesses are preventable. Obesity is a risk factor for all of these diseases and with 42% of Americans currently obese, the forecast does not look too promising unless we take action and reverse course. Winter is just around the corner, and it is during this time of the year that most people “fall off the wagon” and start putting on some extra pounds. In addition to the winter months, we have the ever-challenging holiday season, with all of the social gatherings and office parties to contend with. It is estimated that the average person puts on an extra 5 to 10 pounds from Thanksgiving to New Year's.

What if this year could be different? What if my 4 tips can help you lose 10 pounds by the new year? It can, and it will if you follow my 4 steps. Give it a try and let me know what you think.

If you want instant low back pain relief “We Gotcha Back”! We Gotcha Back is a customized compression support belt that relieves back, lumbar, and total body pain. It induces improved blood circulation and is FDA-approved. The inventor of We Gotcha Back is Glenn Gordon, a disabled veteran, musician, songwriter, and singer, who shortly after leaving military service as a heavy equipment rough terrain forklift operator, started having back problems.

The military would not allow him any disability for his back pain, but they did give him many different back support belts that did not work and extreme-strength pain killer pills, which Glenn refused to take because of their addictive qualities. Instead, he created his own back support belt and that is when We Gotcha Back was born.

The belt is quickly racking up endorsements by athletes and celebrities. One such athlete is the all-time record holder for most Mr. Olympia titles, Lee Haney, who is now part of Glenn Gordon’s advisory team. Other celebrities wearing his belt include singer Keith Urban, comedian Jeff Foxworthy, professional dancer, Debbie Allen, Actress Kim Coles and others.

According to the World Health Organization, Lower Back Pain affects 619 million people worldwide and by 2050, that number will increase to 843 million. Low Back Pain is the single leading cause of disability worldwide and is often associated with loss of work and a huge financial burden.

Just recently Mike Tyson was said to be suffering from Sciatica, a problem We Gotcha Back has been known to handle quite well. If you’re listening Mike, the inventor of WEGOTCHABACK, has a belt with your name on it.

In this episode of my Six Weeks to Fitness podcast, I interview Sophia Paliov to discuss how she used Intermittent Fast and a low-carb diet (Keto), to lose 40 pounds in 4 months. Sophia has been in the public relations industry for over 27 years. She is the owner of SPPR-LA, a lifestyle, hospitality, beauty & fashion pr firm out of Los Angeles, California.

Growing up and most of her adult life Sophia has never had an issue with weight. In fact, people thought as a child and teen at times she was too thin.  Sophia grew up always walking to school mostly and would take five days a week ballet and tap dance classes during her childhood years and into her early teens and remained at a good low weight (120-124) all the way through her late early thirties.

Around the age of 33, Sophia started to gain weight due to a lot of stress (cortisol) due to personal family stressors (father diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer) as well as eating way more processed foods and also dealing with some fibroid issues which has to be balanced out with stronger birth control.

In 2010 at the age of 38 Sophia's father died and by that point, she found herself about 15 pounds heavier even though she had begun to eat less processed foods and cut out a lot of her sugar. But the stress along with hormonal issues due to her fibroids still slowed down her weight.  Soon afterward, Sophia's mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and for the next 8 years till her death in 2018, Sophia's weight fluctuated.

In 2015-2017 she began a serious weight loss journey and workout regimen by working out to a lot of cardio and doing low carb/gluten-free lifestyle.  She got down to her goal weight of 127 and held it there till a workout injury in April of 2017 halted her progress.  At that point, her mother's illness had severely progressed and by early 2018 Sophia's hormonal imbalance caused her fibroids to produce super heavy bleedings which kept her from doing heavy workouts.

By June 2020, Sophia had ballooned up to 165 pounds and was miserable.  With surgery scheduled for that same month to deal with the fibroids, Sophia was finally able to get her hormonal balance in check; slowly.  But, as the months went by the drive and determination to get back to her comfortable weight just was not there.  She knew she had to make changes again and to get motivated to start moving her body but kept pushing it off.  One day a week or two of working out just was not cutting it at almost 50.  In April of 2021, Sophia saw a picture of herself in leggings and a tight top and just was floored at how bad she had gotten.  It was that instant that triggered her to get motivated again and to know her WHY.  She knew that she had to lose weight and that going low carb/keto would again be part of her life (which she has always done on and off), but she also knew outside of work she was missing something - she had to implement her WHY.  She did not want to end up like her mom with Alzheimer's and even prior to that walking with a walker, she also feared cancer, so doing what she loves to do, Sophia stayed up at late hours and researched longevity, weight loss and found Intermittent Fasting. Ordering the book "The Complete Guide to Fasting" by Dr. Jason Fung, Sophia read it in two days and then just dove into more research on fasting, deepening into keto and the importance of protein, weight training, cardio and of course the magic of fasting.

By October of 2021 just in time for her 50th birthday Sophia had lost her weight and reached her goal weight of 129, and to this day she fluctuates between 125-129 with a steady amount of muscle gain.

Her philosophy is not about just losing weight, but how you go about it and she always asks others to know their WHY. "It's not a diet, it's a lifestyle."
